Tradescantia albiflora, also known as Zebrina, is a popular houseplant native to Mexico and Central America. The name albiflora refers to the typical white stripes on its leaves - alba meaning white and flora meaning leaf.
The oval and glossy leaves are typically striped in various shades of green, silver and purple. In contrast, the ever-named cream to white colour stands out. The thin stems branch easily and overhang over time. This makes it suitable for hanging pots.
