Place the plant in partial shade.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.

It can tolerate -3.9 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.

TIP for you:

If the plant is exposed to moderate sunlight, it will get a third colour (pink) of the similarly coloured leaves.

Senecio rowleyanus variegata, also called Curio rowleyanus Variegatus, is a variegated form of succulent resembling beads with variegated colouring. The classic green form is native to South Africa.

This plant has stems lined with small, almost spherical leaves with a pattern in shades of cream and light pink. It acquires its pink hue from the sun's rays. The stems take root on contact with the substrate and reach a length of up to 90 cm.

In summer, the long stems produce brush-like flowers that are almost white in colour.

Caution is needed when growing in direct sunlight. Sites without chlorophyll, which make up the colour, are more susceptible to sunburn. It is therefore advisable to place the plant in partial shade. Senecio rowleyanus variegata semi-flexible stems make it ideal for growing as a hanging plant. It looks beautiful in hanging baskets, bowls and on shelves where it can flow freely over the edge. Each ball on the stem has a unique and unmistakable pattern on its surface, making this plant even more attractive and fun to grow. This original colouring makes it a unique beauty that tends to be very popular with succulent collectors.
