Did you know?

This houseleek was named after a famous lemonade.

Sempervivum Sprite was bred by David Ford in 1979. The name Sprite is named after the famous lemonade, but the similarity is up to everyone's imagination. Throughout the year, a bright red colour appears, which catches the eye at first sight and attracts attention.

Houseleeks thrive in sunny locations where they can tolerate high temperatures and drought. They prefer well-drained soil, preferably stony or sandy, but are not too demanding. They are an ideal choice for rockeries, dry walls or roofs. Thanks to their shallow roots, they can take hold in a small amount of substrate almost anywhere. Watering should be rather moderate, overwatering could cause root rot. Fertilizing is not necessary, even a very small amount of nutrients will do. In general, therefore, almost no care is needed and the Nettle will grow happily in almost any drier, bright location.
