TIP for you:

The plant may develop cute pink flowers which, together with the whitish network of hairs, are the main decoration of the plant.

Sempervivum Shampoo first appeared in 2004 and was immediately dusted off. At the Herrieden stock exchange (a town in Germany) all the pieces were sold out immediately. It is a cultivar whose mother is Sempervivum arachnoideum Baby Boo. Like this houseleek, Shamrock forms rosettes up to 2.5 cm in diameter, making it more of a smaller shamrock. In addition, it is distinguished by its interesting hairs, which connect between the leaves to form an interesting whitish network.

It thrives in sunny locations where it can tolerate high temperatures and drought. They prefer well-drained soil, preferably stony or sandy, but are not very demanding. They are an ideal choice for rockeries, dry walls or roofs. Thanks to their shallow roots, they can take hold in a small amount of substrate almost anywhere. Watering should be rather moderate, overwatering could cause root rot. Fertilizing is not necessary, as the sedges can get by with very little nutrients. In general, therefore, almost no care is needed and the houseleek will grow happily in almost any drier, bright location.
