Sedum reflexum cristata is also known as Petrosedum rupestre cristata or Sedum rupestre cristata. It is also popularly known as Reflexed Stonecrop or Blue Stonecrop. In the wild, it grows in mountainous areas of central and western Europe. It is a crested form with dense growth of small leaves.

Tiny grey-green leaves grow densely clustered on flat stems. The stiff leaves are fleshy, linear and pointed. They do not exceed 2 cm in length overall. The stems branch profusely and the stems grow to 10 cm in height. However, it can reach up to 60 cm in width.

The yellow, star-shaped flowers are about 1.5 cm across. They normally grow in summer, but the crested form does not usually flower.

These plants are hardy, requiring only minimal attention and care. They are suitable for the rock garden or in portable containers, and if they have sufficient light and permeable soil, they can manage to live in very inhospitable conditions. Succulents should be repotted every once in a while to give them enough nutrients for their growth. Water only during prolonged droughts and usually do not water in winter. The main attraction of Sedum reflexum cristata is its shaggy tufts full of tiny leaves that visually spill out into the immediate surroundings.
