Sedum lineare variegata
Place the succulent in a sunny location.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.
Can tolerate down to -17,8 °C. The plant is partially frost hardy.
The original form is native to Asia. The pleasing variegated patterns and colouring of the cultivar complement the ability to form the plant perfectly. We can easily influence its shape and height.
Sedum lineare variegata is often referred to by its nickname Cream and Green Carpet Sedum. It is a variegated cultivar of Sedum lineare, which is native to southeastern China and Japan.
The thick, fleshy leaves are lance-shaped and grow to about 3 cm long and 0.2 cm wide. They are light green in colour and turn creamy white at the edges. The stems are thin, up to 30 cm long, and the stems grow to a total height of 15 cm. At first the shrub is upright, but later it lies flat under the weight of the stems and leaves. If the succulent is grown in the shade, it tends to stand up more and grow larger.
In late spring or early summer, small star-shaped flowers bloom. They turn bright yellow and literally glow into their surroundings.
The succulent grows quickly and is therefore quite popular. In addition, its height and shape can be adjusted quite easily by cutting. It is suitable for both portable and hanging containers, where it grows beautifully over time.
