Sedum adolphii Lime Gold, also known as Golden Sedum, is a cultivar of Sedum adolphi (or Sedum nussbaumerianum) and gets its name from its beautiful lime gold leaves. This succulent brings a vibrant element to a garden or collection and is relatively low maintenance.

The lime green leaves with red-orange tips are heavily fleshy, which helps the plant store water. Old stems are purple in colour and tend to be firm. The overall height of the plant can reach up to 25 cm, and older specimens may have a slight tendency to be semi-flaccid.

Mall star-shaped flowers of yellow-white colour emerge in spring. Although inflorescences are not as common, the leaves of this plant are the main beauty of this succulent. In sunlight they take on a golden hue, while in partial shade they are more of a light lime green.

To encourage the formation of rhizomes, it is advisable to cut the stem, which then images the shoots. Branched shrubs are also suitable for hanging containers. Sedum adolphii Lime Gold can also be successfully propagated from a single leaf. Overall, it is an unpretentious and hardy plant. It produces its most beautiful shades when placed in full sun, and provides a nice and contrasting element in the garden or indoors.
