Pelargonium Frank Headley
Place in a sunny position, can tolerate partial shade.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.
The plant is not hardy.
Old leaves dry out naturally. To encourage the plant to grow we can remove them to allow it to grow better.
Pelargonium Frank Headley is a cultivar particularly popular for its beautiful, variegated foliage and delicate flowers. It is suitable for growing in pots or hanging containers.
The distinctly coloured leaves have a pattern of creamy white and green in sharp contrast. The whitish variegation is found on the edge followed by a green centre. A purple ring can still be seen there. The shape of the leaves may remind us of any other Pelargonium.
The flowers are soft pink and appear in the summer months.
We can fertilise lightly at our discretion. The old leaves dry naturally from the bottom. This is a common occurrence and if we want to encourage the plant to grow we can pinch off the old leaves. Pelargoniums are perfect for growing in apartments, on balconies and terraces. It can be placed in a pot, box or hanging container where it will brighten up the place where it is to be grown.
