TIP for you:

I recommend transplanting the plant from our 6 cm pot into a larger pot to give it more space to grow.

Oxalis Plum Crazy, is a cultivar of Oxalis spiralis (vulcanicola) native to Central and South America.

The plant impresses with its bright pink and purple leaves with long petioles. The colouration and pattern is unique for each leaf. In response to light, the succulent opens and closes its leaves in the evening and slowly unfolds in the morning. Old leaves dry naturally and the plant is constantly rejuvenated. The dense shrub branches out and grows to a height of about 20 cm.

In spring and summer it produces abundant yellow flowers. These contrast sharply with the purple leaves and make the plant unforgettable.

Unlike some Oxalis species, Plum Crazy does not form tubers but has roots and grows all year round. During the growing season, the plant can be fertilised with a houseplant fertiliser of your choice. To encourage growth and maintain shape, occasional pinching is recommended and repotting into a larger pot for faster and larger growth. Oxalis likes a lot of indirect light and is grown as a classic houseplant. If you are looking for a houseplant with atypical coloration, this succulent is for you. It will delight not only with its rich purple and pink colour, but also with its yellow flowers.
