The plant likes a sunny habitat.

Water rather less and do not water at all in winter.

The plant can tolerate temperatures down to -1.1 °C in the short term, but is not hardy.

Did you know?

The name Lithops comes from the ancient Greek words lithos - stone, and ops - face. In English, it is called living stones.

Lithops mix is a mixture of succulent plants from the genus Lithops in the Aizoaceae family, native to South Africa. They are known as "living stones" because their bodies resemble pebbles with different patterns and colours. Even their name Lithops is derived from this characteristic. It comes from the ancient Greek lithos - stone, and ops - face. This genus has many species and cultivars, we offer unnamed plants, which we refer to by the generic name of mix.

Lithops require specific care to thrive. The ideal place for these plants is a sunny windowsill, here they get plenty of direct sunlight in the morning and shade during the afternoon. A permeable, well-draining soil is also important; succulents do not thrive in prolonged waterlogging. In winter, the plant should not be watered at all. The old pair of leaves will eventually wither and new ones will develop. If the plant is given fresh air, it can tolerate high temperatures. The plant is not frost hardy, so protect it from frost. Fertilizing is not necessary, but I recommend repotting the plant about every 2 years.

The succulent is popular for its geometric shape and the term living stones is often encountered in the succulent world.
