It can tolerate -12,2 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.

TIP for you:

This plant boasts a unique decorative appearance thanks to its purple spots. It is probably the most beautiful representative of the genus Lenophyllum.

Lenophyllum guttatum is one of the seven species of the genus Lenophyllum. The Greek word lenos means tank, cistern or tub and phyllos means leaf. The name guttatum - finely mottled, refers to the appearance of the leaves of this plant.

The succulent has grey-green to pinkish-grey leaves with purplish-red spots. The fleshy, smooth leaves are curved and also become more firm in the sun. Lenophyllum guttatum is a small shrub that usually does not grow very tall. With flowers, however, it can reach up to 20 cm in height.

This plant regularly produces yellow flowers on short stems.

The succulent grows slowly and can be propagated by rooting individual leaves. The plant will be happiest if placed outside in direct sun and fresh air from May to autumn. It is probably the most beautiful of the representatives of the genus Lenophyllum.
