Did you know?

The wax plant has unusually round leaves. They have silver spots on them that look like tiny splashes of paint.

Hoya obovata splash, otherwise known as Hoya obovata variegata splash, is a similar form of Hoya obovata. The name splash refers to its variegated leaves.

The oval, almost circular, leaves are decorated with a silvery colouring that resembles splashes of grey on the deep green leaves. The pattern is slightly contrasting and is a visible decoration on the fleshy leaves. The colouring and pattern on the leaf is usually stable and changes little over time, rather remaining the same. The stem grows liana-like and the plant stretches upwards.

Even in the 'splash' form, flowers may appear. They are pink to red in colour, star-shaped and pleasantly scented.

The plant can be lightly fertilised once in a while. It likes to be watered slightly, like when dew falls, but it is not strictly necessary. It likes room temperature and can be placed in a north-facing window, for example, if grown indoors. It is a popular houseplant with beautiful silvery spots.
