Hoya bella variegata
Wax plant is best suited to a semi-shaded habitat.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.
Room temperature is ideal. The plant is not cold hardy.
Thanks to its reasonably large growth up to 50 cm, it is suitable as a dominant houseplant in apartments, where it brightens up the space with its similarly coloured leaves.
Hoya bella variegata is a wax plant with a liana-like growth habit. The native form grows in Thailand, Laos and VIetnam.
The small, elongated, fleshy leaves have a glossy surface. The green colour here is mixed with a subtle resemblance. It makes each leaf a little bit original. It grows liana-like and can reach a size of about 50 cm. It can be grown both as an overhanging and climbing plant.
In summer, it produces small, star-shaped flowers. They are coloured white and pink. They have a pleasant scent and add another colourful dimension to the interior.
The wax plant can be easily fertilized as a houseplant. It likes occasional repotting. The plant can also be grown in the windows of smaller apartments. It is also suitable for prefabricated houses.
