Graptoveria Bashful
Place ideally in a sunny position.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.
It can tolerate -1.1 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.
This is a nice succulent plant that turns red to pink in the sun. It loves sun and fresh air.
This plant, formerly incorrectly referred to as Echeveria Pink Ruby, is actually a hybrid succulent with several synonyms: ×Graptoveria Jujube, ×Graptoveria Pinkle Ruby and ×Graptoveria Pink Ruby. The original hybrid was created by Renee O'Connell for Altman Plants, and its parents are not fully known.
The succulent features attractive leaves that turn mint green in sunlight and pink in cooler weather. The fleshy leaves form tight, stemless rosettes that grow to 7.5 cm in diameter. The plant tends to form lateral offsets, creating a dense and compact clump.
In spring and summer, flowers appear on branched stems, which may be white, yellow or with reddish spots.
It is important to note that the pink colour of the leaves fades if the plant is grown in the shade, in which case the leaves will fade to their original green colour. This Graptoveria is relatively undemanding to grow. It is a fast-growing succulent with a compact habit that is suitable for succulent arrangements and for growing in pots. Its succulent leaves and pink colour make it an attractive succulent that will shine.
