Graptosedum Francesco Baldi is a hybrid succulent plant created by crossing Graptopetalum paraguayense and Sedum pachyphyllum. The correct spelling of the name is ×Graptosedum Francesco Baldi. The plant was named by Ray Stephenson after Dr Francesco Baldi (1917-2003), a founding member of the Sedum Society. You may also see other names, such as Graptosedum Darley Sunshine.

Graptosedum Francesco Baldi boasts leaves that are blue-grey in partial shade and turn pinkish-grey in full sun. During the winter the leaves take on a brownish-purple tinge. The thick leaves are fleshy, lanceolate and long. They form rosettes up to 10 cm across. These are located at the tips of the drooping, ever-extending stems, forming a shrub up to 15 cm tall. The stems themselves tend to be longer.

The star-shaped flowers of Graptosedum Francesco Baldi are yellow and up to 2 cm across. They appear on stems up to 15 cm long.

This plant grows upright at first but later becomes semi-erect. It is a popular succulent, especially for its striking light-coloured foliage, and is best in containers placed on an outdoor windowsill, for example. This Francesco is second to none and will appeal to even experienced collectors looking for classic shapes in attractive colours.
