Did you know?

If the plant is under stress (severe drought, heat, etc.), the leaves may turn red.

Variegated Gasteria minima variegata, not officially recognized as a separate species. The name minima refers to the tiny offshoots and miniature growth. There are many individual representatives in the genus Gasteria that are not fully described, as they differ only slightly from each other. These include many hybrids with Aloe, Haworthia, where we also find a change of forms between juvenile and adult plants. It could therefore also be Gasteria gracilis Variegata Yellow or Gasteria bicolor var. liliputana - Dwarf Gasteria.

It is characterized by its small but thick fleshy leaves, which are decorated with variable stripes in shades of yellow to white. In addition, the appearance is usually complemented by white dots on the leaves. If the plant is stressed, the leaves turn red. It grows to a maximum height of 10 cm and usually has no stem. It grows slowly, but offsets profusely, creating cute clumps of tiny plants. The offshoots can be variegated or green.

The plant is probably not likely to flower.

Each Gasteria minima variegata plant is unique because of its unique pattern of resemblance. It is also very hardy and easy to grow. It can be lightly potted and does best in small pots. It is also great for beginners and excels in succulent gardens.
