Did you know?

There has never been a recorded case of this plant flowering. It may be a natural hybrid of central Africa.

Euphorbia trigona, also known as African Milk Tree, is a popular succulent plant that impresses with its unusual appearance. The epithet trigona refers to the shape of the plant's body. Translated, the word means triangular, three-sided.

The small green leaves grow between pairs of spines, are obovate in shape up to 3 cm long and tend to be deciduous. However, they often remain on the plant for longer periods of time. The stem and branches turn dark green and are decorated with whitish or light green V-shaped patterns. It can reach this size in our area.

It may be a natural hybrid. Flowering has not yet been observed, but it is possible that flowers may appear.

It can be fertilised with cactus and succulent fertiliser. Like the yarrow, this plant produces a slightly toxic latex if we disturb its body. It is therefore advisable to keep it out of contact with small children and to wash the site with water if the latex touches the skin. This is a very popular houseplant. It is not demanding on watering and its ornamental triangular stem with aesthetic thorns impresses growers all over the world.
