Echeveria shaviana Pinky
Place ideally in a sunny position.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, we limit watering.
The plant can tolerate short-term temperatures down to -6.7 °C. However, it is not hardy.
This is a popular plant among our customers. It impresses especially over time with its undulating leaf margins and turns beautifully pinkish shades in the sun.
Echeveria shaviana Pinky is a beautiful cultivar of Echeveria shaviana, distinguished by the edges of its leaves.
The unusual colouring of the leaves varies from purple to yellow-green to a strong pink at the edges. The slightly fleshy leaves are spoon-shaped and pointed at the end. The leaves are up to 12,5 cm long. As the plant ages, the leaf margins become interestingly wavy and the plant takes on its characteristic form. A fine powdery coating covers the entire plant. Numerous branches form around the main rosette and grow up to 15 cm in diameter.
In spring, bell-shaped, pinkish-orange flowers bloom. They grow arranged on stalks.
The succulent does not need to be fertilised. Care should be taken when watering so that the substrate is not waterlogged for long periods. The succulent plant is particularly interesting because of its interestingly wavy leaf margins, which, especially in sunlight, turn pinkish.
