TIP for you:

It has an attractive red colour on its leaves.

Echeveria nodulosa, nicknamed Painted Echeveria, is a fascinating succulent plant with leaves decorated with a purplish red pattern. Its name comes from the Latin word "nōdulus" (bumpy), which refers to the structure of the stems. The first description of this plant dates from 1869 by John Gilbert Baker. He named it Cotyledon nodulosa.

Echeveria nodulosa is characterised by its dull apple green leaves with purplish red markings on both surfaces and on the margins. The leaves are slightly concave above and keeled and pointed below, up to 5 cm long and 1.5 cm wide. The plant has upright or semi-upright stems that bear rosettes and grows up to 20 cm long.

This fleshy plant flowers in spring or summer. The flowers are bell-shaped, pinkish-red and yellowish along the edges and tips of the petals. They appear on upright, unbranched inflorescences that reach up to 30 cm in height.

Echeveria nodulosa is an unpretentious Echeveria that requires very little care. The colour of the leaves is influenced by the growing conditions - the pattern is more pronounced in sunlight. It is an attractive and unpretentious succulent plant that is suitable for any collection. Its cartoon leaves make it an ideal piece for succulent gardens.
