Did you know?

The succulent branches a lot. This is why it got its name multicaulis.

Echeveria multicaulis is often referred to as Copper Rose. It gets its name from the Latin word multicaulis = multi-stemmed, as it forms richly branched shrubs. It is native to the Mexican states of Guerrero and Michoacán.

The rosettes of fleshy, glossy leaves are dark green in colour. The edges and tips of the leaves turn a deep red, which intensifies in direct sunlight. The leaves are obovate to wedge-shaped and reach up to 4 cm long and 3 cm wide. Over time, the plant branches profusely and produces long, bare stems that can reach up to one metre in length.

The bell-shaped flowers turn crimson to scarlet. They bloom in compact clusters during spring and summer.

Echeveria multicaulis is an undemanding plant that is at its most beautiful in full sun. Fertilization is not suitable for the plant. It can be propagated from just one leaf and will start to droop beautifully when grown in hanging containers.
