Echeveria Hearts Delight
Place the plant ideally in a sunny location.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.
The plant can tolerate short-term temperatures down to -6.7 °C. However, it is not hardy.
The grey, blue and green leaves form unusual bumps. Some of them may resemble hearts. Both in shape and in red colouring in the sun.
Echeveria Hearts Delight is a hybrid succulent created by Dick Wright and named Jocelyn Ainsworth. It is a seedling from the same batch as Echeveria Rain Drops.
It has a low growing rosette of grey to blue-green leaves with interestingly shaped bumps, sometimes heart-shaped. In bright light and cool weather, the leaves turn red or purple, rapidly changing the appearance of the plant. The rosette can grow up to 20 cm in diameter and usually grows solitary, but can form offsets as it ages.
In summer, red-orange flowers bloom on long stems.
It prefers a sunny habitat. It dislikes waterlogging and does not like fertilisation. Echeveria Hearts Delight is a plant that delights with its quirky bumps and red tinge in the sun with a green base.
