Echeveria Chrissy n Ryan cristata is a fascinating cultivar of succulent plant, which is characterized by its crested form. In our shop you can find the non-cristate form under the name Echeveria Derosa. It is a cross between Echeveria prolifica and Echeveria setosa var. deminuta, the cultivar called Chrissy n Ryan was bred by Roy Mottram in the UK.
This Echeveria is characterised by grey-green to grey-blue foliage colour, which changes to a pink shade with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. The fleshy, compact and lance-shaped leaves with pointed tips and fine hairs on the edges grow to 2 cm long. The leaves grow in large clumps on a flat stem, with the lower leaves drying naturally. The stem is flat and turns bluish in colour. In the dry season the tips of the leaves may dry out.
The crested form of this dicot is unlikely to flower.
Because of its unusual appearance and crested structure, Echeveria Chrissy n Ryan cristata is seen as a collectible and attractive plant for succulent enthusiasts.
