Did you know?

The crystalline waxy coating of the leaves makes them rough to the touch. They feel like sandpaper. They reflect the sun's rays, making the surface shimmer and change colour throughout the year.

Echeveria carnicolor refers to the colour of the leaves (carnicolor - flesh-coloured). This plant, native to Mexico, is characterised by its unique combination of colours and textures and is becoming a popular indoor and outdoor decoration.

Echeveria is characterised by its beautiful grey-green leaves with a whitish edge and a distinctive red to purple tinge. The young leaves in the centre of the rosette often show a pink tinge. The surface of the leaves feels more like fine sandpaper due to the crystalline structure of the waxy coating. As soon as the sunlight hits the leaves, their surface shimmers beautifully, giving the plant an unusual appearance. The succulent is rather ground-hugging and grows to a maximum height of 15 cm. The stem is usually tiny and the plant forms a flat leaf rosette 5-7 cm in diameter. The plant's rosette grows slowly and follows the ground, creating a beautiful and compact appearance.

It flowers in spring and produces beautiful orange flowers. The flower stalks are slow to appear and gradually elongate until the flowers develop.

Echeveria carnicolor will bring you joy and beautify the place where you place it all year round. The rough leaves, soft to the touch but reflecting the play of light thanks to their changing colour, will delight even when flowers are just out of sight.
