It can tolerate temperatures down to -3.9 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.

Did you know?

The cool blue-green leaves turn a soft pink at the edges. These edges tend to curl slightly, especially on young leaves.

Echeveria Boeil has a rather universal name, which is used for various cultivars or hybrids of the genus Echeveria.

The succulent forms showy rosettes of upright, fleshy leaves. These turn a silvery blue-green, giving them a fresh and cool appearance. The pointed ends and edges of the leaves are a soft pink. The edges of the young leaves in particular are slightly wavy. A fine powdery coating covers the leaves of the plant and the leaves in turn cover the stem of the plant densely, so that it is hardly visible at all. The rosettes tend to be quite large and the succulent often forms lateral rhizomes.

The flesh flowers are typical of the genus Echeveria. They are usually bell-shaped and appear on longer stems.

Echeveria Boeil is easy to grow. It likes a sunny habitat. It doesn't like excessive fertiliser, but a little fertiliser once in a while won't hurt. The combination of silver, green and pink makes Boel a real gem among succulents, and its massive rosettes impress from afar.
