Echeveria Best Western cristata
Ideally placed in a sunny position, but can tolerate partial shade.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.
The plant is not hardy.
This is a very fast growing succulent. If you want to speed up the growth, just transplant the plant into a larger pot.
Echeveria Best Western cristata is a succulent hybrid of unknown origin. It is a crested form with typically wavy ridges and a flat stem.
The leaves are a beautiful light greenish-blue colour. It may turn slightly red in direct sunlight. The leaves are thin, irregularly shaped and grow densely crowded together. Older leaves gradually dry out naturally and die back. Occasionally, non-cristate rosettes may appear on the pale, flat stem.
Although the genus Echeveria is characterised by beautiful flowers, this crested form is unlikely to flower.
The succulent is not very demanding to care for. It does not like to be fertilised. The succulent grows very quickly and if you are repoting it into a larger pot, its growth will accelerate even more. We just have to be careful that the plant is not waterlogged for a long time and that the roots do not die. The soft green colour invites you to place the succulent in an elegant environment with pastel shades of colour.
