Echeveria Belle Etoile
The plant likes a sunny habitat.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.
It can tolerate -6.7 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.
This cultivar is a cross between Echeveria purpusorum and an unknown Echeveria.
Echeveria Belle Etoile, named by Jean-Michel Moullec, is a hybrid succulent plant resulting from a cross between Echeveria purpusorum and an unknown Echeveria.
The green leaves are shaped like the hull of a ship and point upwards. The leaves grow arranged in a star shape. The surface of the leaves is covered with dense rusty red dots. The stems of the adult plant reach a height of up to 6 cm and a diameter of up to 2 cm. The total diameter of the rosette is around 8,5 cm.
Pink and yellow flowers appear from late spring to early summer.
The succulent does not require fertilisation. However, care should be taken when watering to ensure that water does not settle in the rosette, where it can cause rot or fungal diseases over time. The plant is particularly pleasing with its star-shaped rosette with pointed leaves. The dots on the leaves and their colouring create a unique spectacle.
