The plant likes sunny habitats. If we have the opportunity we place the plant outside during the summer.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, we limit watering. In general we try to water more moderately.

It can tolerate -3.9 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.

TIP for you:

The interesting miniature rosettes take on a beautiful pale pink colour in the sun.

Echeveria amoena, a charming succulent miniature, is native to the Morelos, Puebla and Veracruz regions of Mexico. It is often called Baby Echeveria, referring to its miniature appearance.

This tiny plant forms dense rosettes of fleshy, pointed leaves. The gray-green color of the leaves changes to pink and reddish tones depending on the light, giving this Echeveria a unique charm. The thick leaves grow up to 2 cm long and 0.8 cm wide, and the overall size of the rosettes is up to 5 cm. Individual rosettes eventually form offshoots.

In spring, Echeveria amoena bursts into bell-shaped flowers. The coral-red florets, set on red stems, are up to 1 cm long and 0.4 cm across. However, they do not flower regularly in our conditions.

Care must be taken when growing them to ensure that excess water does not settle in the rosettes over a long period of time. In combination with the cold, the roots could rot. When placed in direct sunlight, the rosettes will turn a beautiful pink colour that will add to the aesthetic appearance of the collection or garden.
