The plant likes direct sun. It is suitable for the rock garden or in portable containers.
In a pot, water after the substrate has dried out. When placing in a rock garden, water at your own discretion.
The plant is frost-resistant. The plant is hardy and can survive the Czech winter.
This hardy succulent forms beautiful cushions during its lifetime into which its clumps grow over time.
The elongated leaves have a conspicuous pulp on their surface. The upper side is flattened and the edges are slightly toothed. The tips take on a reddish tinge. The flowers are bright pinkish-purple in colour and reach up to 3 cm in diameter. The succulent grows in clumps and this robust and highly hardy species forms beautiful cushions.
They need adequate light, full sun is ideal. They prefer a well-drained soil that does not risk long-term root waterlogging. They do not need much water and it is always advisable to allow the substrate to dry out thoroughly between waterings. When growing in a rockery, water only during prolonged dry periods at your discretion. Succulent likes occasional repotting if grown in containers. Plants are frost-hardy, and although not strictly necessary, it does them good to cover them with non-woven fabric for the winter to protect them from hard frosts.
