Place the plant ideally in a sunny location.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.

In the short term it can tolerate down to -1.1 °C. However, the plant is not hardy.

TIP for you:

It is best to transplant the plant into a larger pot to give it space to grow and place it outside during the summer. After summering, bring it indoors for the winter and bring it out again in the spring.

Cremneria Mutabilis, also known as Echeveria × mutabilis, is a hybrid created in 1874 by Jean-Baptiste Deleuil of Marseille. It is a hybrid of Cremnophila linguifolia and one Echeveria. Deleuil claims Echeveria scheeri and Walther believes it was Echeveria carnicolor.

What is certain, however, is that Cremneria grows with rosettes of fleshy leaves at the end of branched stems. The leaves turn green or brownish in sunlight. The leaves can grow up to 7 cm long and 3 cm wide. Stems can reach up to 30 cm long and rosettes up to 15 cm across.

During the flowering season, a magnificent inflorescence grows up to 75 cm long. The flowers are coloured in shades of yellow, orange and pink.

Cremneria Mutabilis does not like to be fertilised. However, it should be transplanted into a larger pot. In winter, the plant should ideally be moved indoors to a bright space, while during the summer it can decorate a patio, windowsills or succulent garden. The genus Cremneria has a lot to offer and this representative is proof of that. The soft green mixed with brownish shades and the pleasantly rounded shapes make this plant an ideal succulent.
