The plant likes a sunny habitat or partial shade.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.

It can tolerate temperatures down to -3.9 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.

TIP for you:

During the summer, this plant can be watered even more. Over the winter, however, the watering should be reduced considerably.

Crassula tomentosa var. glabrifolia is a succulent native to Namibia and South Africa - the Cape. It grows here in rock crevices, usually protected by overhanging rocks. Different forms of this species grow in each specific location.

The broadly obovate leaves are slightly twisted and covered with short hairs. They make the plant very pleasant to the touch and attract with their plush appearance. The leaves have shortened tips and grow to about 1.5 cm. The small plant forms dense clusters of compact rosettes.

Small, star-shaped flowers appear in spring and summer. They turn white or yellowish in colour. The flowers grow arranged on an upright stalk.

The plant bears very poorly if the substrate is waterlogged for a long time. Watering should be very limited, especially in winter, but it should not be allowed to stand in water for long periods during the summer. Crassula tomentosa var. glabrifolia is such a cute little succulent that it is a favourite with collectors and succulent growers all over the world.
