Place the plant in a sunny location.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.

It can tolerate -3.9 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.

TIP for you:

The leaves develop an interesting whitish-green pattern, while the edges turn a rich, bright green.

Crassula rupestris, bears the epithet "rupestris", referring to its natural habitat on cliffs and rocks. It grows on north and east facing rocky slopes, in exposed positions among boulders and on the tops of ledges. It can be found from Vanrhynsdorp and the Cape Peninsula in the Western Cape to Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape Province.

This succulent beauty boasts grey-green leaves with bright green margins that are clustered around upright, spreading or rarely semi-erect stems. The thick, fleshy leaves are oval to lance-shaped and grow on slender stems that are slightly woody from the base. Crassula rupestris forms small upright shrubs that grow up to 50 cm tall in natural conditions.

During spring the plant produces dense clusters of small flowers on short peduncles towards the end of the branches. They can reach a diameter of up to 5 cm. The flowers give the plant an even more attractive appearance and make it a real gem.

Crassula rupestris grows slowly and with a little care will keep you happy for many years. It is an undemanding plant that can tolerate drought and requires very little care. If you are looking for a succulent plant with a glamorous appearance without too many growing requirements, this is the right choice for you.
