It is a variegated and small-leaved form of Crassula marginalis. It is often mistakenly referred to as Sedum Little Missy.
Crassula Petite Bicolor is a charming miniature succulent that impresses with its bright colouring and small size. It is a colourful and dwarf form of Crassula pellucida subsp. marginalis from the Southern Cape (which can be found on our e-shop under the name Crassula marginalis). Petite Bicolor is often mistakenly referred to as Sedum Little Missy, so it can occasionally be found under that name.
The leaves are a beautiful shade of white and green and are broadly ovate to round in shape. The edges of the leaves often turn pink or red in the sun. The stems are thin and easily broken, growing up to 5 cm long.
In summer, small white to pink flowers with five petals and five stamens appear at the ends of the stems. The flowers grow arranged in terminal racemes.
Crassula Petite Bicolor can also be grown as an overhanging plant and is particularly suitable for indoors, where its diminutive size means it will not take up too much space. It is a small-leaved succulent that is not yet very common. Crassula marginalis boasts several variants such as Rubra, Variegata and the classic form. These can also all be found in our e-shop. Petite Bicolor is a striking combination of white, green and small size.
