Crassula perforata variegata
The plant likes the sun.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.
Short-term temperatures down to -6 °C. However, the plant is not hardy.
This plant is an ideal candidate as an indoor succulent. Suitable for growing on a windowsill or in a small succulent garden.
Crassula perforata variegata, a resembled form of Crassula perforata, is an attractive variegated form of the classic green plant that originated in South Africa. The variegated foliage is caused by the partial loss of chlorophyll in the leaves, which contributes to the different colours, in this case yellow, pink and white.
Its ornamental leaves are tipped with a sharp point and grow in opposite pairs close together, giving the impression that the leaves are strung on the stem. Straight stems, gradually woody and occasionally forming lateral rhizomes. The overall height of the plant can reach up to 40 cm, but can be maintained at the desired height by regular pruning.
The small flowers of this fat plant are pale yellow in colour. These flowers appear in spring.
In direct sunlight, the edges of the leaves take on a pinkish tinge. The old leaves gradually dry out, and for aesthetic reasons I recommend a rejuvenating cut. Apart from its beautiful appearance, it can also enjoy the fact that it does not need too much care (for example, it does not need to be fertilised or watered too often). This will save you a lot of work on its beauty.
