Crassula perforata Giant
Place ideally in a sunny location.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.
It can tolerate -1.1 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.
The leaves of this form are much larger and thicker than those of the common Crassula perforata. It is also named giant after this characteristic.
Crassula perforata Giant, also known as Crassula perforata Giant Form, is a succulent plant that gets its name from its larger leaves (Giant). It is a form of Crassula perforata with significantly larger and thicker leaves, which gives the plant a majestic appearance.
It may attract attention with its grey-green leaves with reddish edges. The leaves tend to be thick, fleshy, ovate and fused to the opposite leaf of the pair at the stem. The succulent has stiff and unbreakable stems that can hold the plant upright despite its considerable weight. The stems branch profusely.
In spring, it is adorned with tubular flowers with white to yellowish petals and brown anthers. I recommend removing the drying flowers after flowering.
The succulent does not need to be fertilised, but you can add a little fertiliser at your discretion. Excessively long shoots can be cut back by pruning to maintain a compact shape. Crassula perforata Giant with its strong stems is well suited to the taller parts of communal plantings and thanks to its strong, unbreakable stems, it will not get caught out and can be enjoyed for many years.
