Did you know?

The name Skinny Fingers refers to the shape of the leaves, which resemble narrow fingers.

Crassula ovata Skinny Fingers is a monstrous form of the classic Crassula ovata. This cultivar is similar to Crassula ovata Gollum and Crassula ovata Hobbit.

It has tubular green leaves that are narrow and turn yellow in the sun. These leaves have enlarged ends and a curved middle part of the leaf tip. Overall, they can grow up to 5 cm long. When exposed to sufficient sunlight, rings of shallow depressions appear around the perimeter, which turn various shades of red. In the absence of light or if the substrate is too nutrient-rich, the leaves remain dark green. They grow close together and may have different shapes. The old leaves die back naturally and the plant has a tree-like growth, reaching a height of up to 50 cm. The trunk of the plant gets thicker and more robust with time.

The succulent can produce white or pink star-shaped flowers.

Crassula ovata Skinny Fingers is suitable for shaping, and the colour of its leaves varies depending on the season and growing conditions. It is an undemanding succulent and can be lightly fertilized. I would recommend this plant to novice growers for its hardiness or its ability to be beautifully shaped. It will enhance the look of the indoor and succulent garden.
