Crassula mesembryanthemoides
The plant loves the sun.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.
It can tolerate temperatures as low as -1 °C in the short term. The plant is not hardy.
This succulent impresses especially with its small leaves and elegant hairs.
Crassula mesembryanthemoides takes its name from the similarity of its appearance to plants of the genus Mesembryanthemum. The leaves of this succulent plant are green to yellow-green in colour. They resemble long cylinders and are soft to the touch. Their surface is covered with fine, translucent hairs that grow densely together. This plant has thin woody stems.
They form dense and small shrubs that can reach heights of up to 40 cm. Tiny flowers of an off-white colour appear on the tops of the tall stems. However, they are not very distinctive.
Crassula mesembryanthemoides is suitable for growing by beginners due to its low maintenance. It can be considered a compact growing tree, which makes it an ideal plant for shaping, especially for beginners. Shaping or rejuvenation can only be done on unformed stems.
