Place ideally in full sun or partial shade.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.

It can tolerate -1.1 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.

TIP for you:

The surface of the leaves can bind salts from the watering well. It is therefore advisable to water the succulent so that the water does not run unnecessarily down the leaves and form unnecessary stains, which are not very aesthetic.

Crassula deceptor, with the evocative name deceptor, is an unusual succulent plant from southern Africa.

The grey-green leaves are atypically ovate-triangular in shape and covered with white papillae. These papillae give the plant a soft velvety appearance. The leaves are thick and fleshy and are tightly gathered together in overlapping pairs. The miniature plant has thick stems that grow to a maximum height of 8 cm. The whole plant can reach up to 15 cm.

In the summer months it is covered in tiny cream-coloured flowers that fade to brown over time.

Crassula deceptor is an atypical miniature succulent plant. The leaves have the ability to bind salts in water well, which can cause leaf spots. We therefore try to water it so that water does not run down the leaves. I do not recommend fertilising the succulent. Due to its miniature growth, interesting leaf shape and fine whitish coating, this plant is a popular choice for those looking for an interesting miniature for their succulent garden.
