A sunny site is ideal for this plant, but it can tolerate partial shade.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.

The plant is not hardy.

TIP for you:

If the succulent is left in direct sunlight, the red edges of its leaves will become more coloured and more pronounced. This will happen even if exposed to the autumn cold. The red colouring will brighten up the appearance of the plant and make it more interesting.

Cotyledon Coral, probably a cultivar of Cotyledon orbiculata, is a succulent plant with a charming appearance and an unpretentious character. Its blue-green leaves with a red edge resemble coral, hence its name.

A waxy layer covers the thick fleshy leaves, giving them a leathery appearance. The ends of the leaves are wavy and end in a small tip. The red edges become most discoloured in sunlight or in autumn when exposed to cold. The plant grows as an upright, low-branching shrub reaching a height of up to 20 cm. The stem is firm and waxy, emphasising the robust structure of the plant.

It rarely flowers, but even without flowers it is an ornamental plant that will beautify your home.

The plant does not need fertilizing. If you are looking for a hardy succulent plant that is easy to grow and pleases the eye with its unusual appearance, the heavily fleshed Cotyledon Coral is the one for you.
