TIP for you:

Green striped to cream or pink leaves with burgundy colour on the underside add unique colouring to any collection. In addition, the succulent can be grown as an overhanging plant in hanging containers.

Callisia repens Rosato is a colourful cultivar of Callisia repens, which you can also find in our e-shop. Rosato is called Callisia repens Pink Lady. It can also be found under the names Pink Panther, Pink Turtle, Bianca, Tango, Tricolor or Turtle Vine.

The almost lance-shaped, heart-shaped leaves have coloured stripes on them. These turn green, pinkish or cream. On the underside, they turn the burgundy colour that gives the plant some of its nicknames. The waxy, similarly shaped leaves grow up to 2.5 cm long and the succulent grows up to 10 cm tall overall, but it tends to grow rather close to the ground.

Small, white flowers can be found on the plant during spring or early summer.

It normally requires moist but well-drained acidic soil to grow. Partial shade is ideal for the plant, but it can also tolerate sun if we can keep the soil moist. The soft pink Callisia repens Rosato can also be grown as an overhanging plant in hanging containers. The stems can be pinched out to help the plant grow better. The unusually coloured, similarly coloured succulent will stand out amongst other plants and enliven a collection with its unique pink to purple hues.
