The plant is not demanding of light but prefers partial shade.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.

The plant can survive short periods of -6.7 °C. However, it is not hardy.

Did you know?

In 1979, someone misread the original label of the plant labelled as juvenile Aloe, so it was labelled as "juvenna". This designation eventually became its official name.

Aloe juvenna, also known as Tiger Tooth Aloe, is an endemic plant found only in a single location on Lake Naivasha in Kenya, near the border with Tanzania.

This succulent plant is characterised by its tough leaves, which grow close together and are covered with many white spots. Soft white spines are found along the edges of the leaves, and rhizomes grow from the base of the plant, forming characteristic clumps. The plant usually reaches a height of up to 30 cm.

Aloe juvenna rarely flowers in our conditions, but when it does, it is something to look forward to. It has red, beautifully elongated flowers.

It is a very undemanding plant to grow and can tolerate direct sun. If it is overexposed to it, it can yellow slightly. If the plant grows too tall, pruning can be done to maintain an aesthetic shape. Because of its easy cultivation, it is popular even among beginners. However, it will also please the experienced connoisseur.
