Tolerates full sun, but also grows happily in partial shade.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.

In winter, temperatures of at least 5 °C. The plant is not hardy.

TIP for you:

The plant forms beautiful trees with yellow leaves and is one of our most desirable succulents.

This is a variegated form of Aeonium lindleyi. It is also known as Aichryson bethencourtianum variegata. This Aeonium has green leaves with yellow patterns and a velvety texture due to the short hairs. The succulent branches profusely and forms small rosettes with a shallow root system. Aerial roots may also develop in summer.

The leaves are tri-coloured in summer, but only bicoloured in winter, as the temporary lack of light fades the pink colour from the leaf margins. This discolouration is due to a partial lack of chlorophyll or a complete loss of chlorophyll.

Shaping this plant into a nice little tree is easy and the plant responds well to pruning, producing new rosettes at the point of cut. I therefore recommend Aeonium lindleyi variegata as a good candidate for those who want to take up succulent shaping.
