Aeonium lindleyi Lime
Tolerates full sun, but also grows happily in partial shade.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.
Winter temperatures of at least 5 °C. The plant is not hardy.
The foliage of this variant is darker than that of the classic lime form and resembles shades of lime.
This is a similar form of Aeonium lindleyi. The name Lime refers to the colour of the leaves, which resembles a lime.
The leaves are darker in colour and paler in shade than the original form. Lime predominates, but cream, pink and yellow-green also occur. The colour changes and varies slightly throughout the year. Fine hairs cover the leaves, giving them a velvety texture. The succulent branches profusely and forms small rosettes with a shallow root system. Aerial roots may also develop in summer.
Shaping this plant into handsome trees is easy and the plant responds well to pruning, forming new rosettes at the point of cut. I therefore recommend Aeonium lindleyi Lime as a good candidate for those who want to take up succulent shaping.
