The variegated leaves of this cultivar have a slightly different colour and pattern each time, giving the plant a different look each time and making each rosette an original.

Aeonium castello-paivae Harry Mak is known as Aeonium castello-paivae Suncup or Aeonium castello-paivae variegata. It was introduced to the public in 2006 in Gordon Rowley's book "Teratopia".

Harry Mak is a resembled form of this succulent, which is characterised by its creamy, striped leaves. These may have green and cream or yellow stripes and when exposed to full sun, pink tints appear on the edges of the leaves. The variegation has a varied pattern, giving each plant a unique appearance. The rosettes of leaves reach up to 7 cm in size and grow on an upright, thin stem. This Aeonium is characterised by dense branching, creating a vigorous yet compact shrub. Older leaves naturally fall off, which helps to maintain the attractive appearance of the plant and the formation of the caraway.

Aeonium castello-paivae Harry Mak rarely blooms with green and white flowers that appear in lax, hemispherical racemes. The flowers are not very common, but they give the plant a unique boost.

In summer, the houseplant may experience a period of stagnant growth, which is normal. This form is distinctly different because of its leaf pattern and variability in the pattern of its foliage. Aeonium castello-paivae Harry Mak is such a succulent beauty that brings a unique and charming element to the plant collection.
