Adromischus hemisphaericus
Place ideally in a sunny site or in partial shade.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.
It can tolerate -1.1 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.
This is a small succulent that does not take up too much space and can fit practically anywhere. For example, it can be placed on a sunny window ledge or in a sunny greenhouse.
Adromischus hemisphaericus is a succulent plant with a variable appearance that goes by various names.
Its leaves are a dark olive green colour with or without darker spots. They grow on upright or semi-erect stems to form a small succulent shrub.
The flowers are pink conjoined petals and green tubes. They appear on upright spikes that grow up to 30 cm tall.
Water from spring to autumn and allow the substrate to dry out between waterings. In winter, ideally keep the plant in a slightly cool frost-free place and keep it dry. It is important to take care that water is not retained on the leaves. The plant can be lightly fertilised at your discretion, e.g. with a cactus and succulent fertiliser. Adromischus hemisphaericus has a compact habit, making it ideal for growing in small spaces. It does well on sunny window ledges or in sunny greenhouses.
