Haemanthus

The genus Haemanthus, commonly known as Blood Lily, belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family and originates from southern Africa. Blood Lilies have broad, tongue-shaped leaves that can be deciduous or evergreen. The spherical inflorescence consists of many small flowers, with colors ranging from white, pink to bright red, often surrounded by colorful bracts. These plants have large bulbs that serve as nutrient storage.
